Resumo: Neste trabalho identifica a necessidade de discorrer acerca da importância da Educação Física no período da Educação Infantil. Pois, já se compreende que a fase pré-escolar é responsável por definir a aquisição de movimentos, habilidades e competência que nortearão toda a vida dessa criança. Partindo dessa concepção, a Educação Física tem mostrado a sua relevância no processo de ensino aprendizagem e hoje já conta com a obrigatoriedade na Educação Básica. Levando em consideração informações como essa o presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar o papel do professor de Educação Física na Educação Infantil, trazendo a percepção do professor generalista e do professor especialista, levantando um debate e trazendo fundamentações teóricas, que vão ajudar a chegar a uma conclusão sobre o mesmo, ou mesmo ser apenas um ponto de partida para uma investigação mais aprofundada e mais ampla. Sendo aplicada como método, uma pesquisa bibliográfica e também entrevista com questionário, realizada com professores de Educação física, onde foi trazida a discussão sobre o tema e averiguado a percepção dos mesmos sobre o assunto. No mais, restaram conclusões, que mesmo com toda a relevância já debatida no âmbito educacional, ainda se discute as diferentes perspectivas do professor generalista e o especialista para o desenvolvimento do trabalho motor, cognitivo e afetivo-social, realizado durante as aulas de Educação Física. Sendo assim, espera-se que com o trabalho, facilitaram entender que para que haja efetividade no ensino, as hierarquizações precisam ser eliminadas e que os professores especialistas e generalistas estabeleçam uma relação de parceria em prol de uma educação e desenvolvimento assertivo dessas crianças.

Abstract: This work identifies the need to discuss the importance of Physical Education in the period of Early Childhood Education. For, it is already understood that the preschool phase is responsible for defining the acquisition of movements, skills and competence that will guide this childs entire life. Based on this conception, Physical Education has shown its relevance in the teaching-learning process and today it is already mandatory in Basic Education. Taking into account information like this, the present work aimed to investigate the role of the Physical Education teacher in Early Childhood Education, bringing the perception of the generalist teacher and the specialist teacher, raising a debate and bringing theoretical foundations, which will help to arrive at a conclusion on the same, or even just be a starting point for a deeper and broader investigation. Being applied as a method, a bibliographical research and also an interview with a questionnaire, carried out with physical education teachers, where the discussion on the topic was brought up and their perception on the subject was verified. In addition, conclusions remained, that even with all the relevance already discussed in the educational field, the different perspectives of the generalist teacher and the specialist are still discussed for the development of motor, cognitive and affective-social work, carried out during Physical Education classes. . Therefore, it is expected that with the work, they facilitated understanding that for there to be effectiveness in teaching, hierarchies need to be eliminated and that specialist and generalist teachers establish a partnership relationship in favor of an assertive education and development of these children.
