Resumo: O objetivo do presente trabalho é refletir a construção dos sentidos em charges específicas, que se dão principalmente pelo silêncio que as constituem. As ciências da linguagem desenvolveram o refinamento teórico de perscrutar o silêncio nas suas significações. Possibilitou-se criar mecanismos a fim de compreender todo contexto próprio do gênero charge. O silêncio sempre foi traduzido como o indizível, associado à imobilidade. Mas o silenciar vai além do que pode significar, pode traduzir a dimensão de um contexto histórico e também traduzir o silêncio como o local onde os sentidos se realizam externamente à palavra, mas que se encontram na imaginação do ser humano, sendo um dizer que produz sentido nas pausas, lapsos e reticências. Objetiva-se aqui, discutir sobre o silêncio, o dito e o não dito (implícito) no discurso, tomando como objeto de análise o gênero textual charge. Essa opção se deve ao fato de ser um gênero textual discursivo que possui muitos recursos expressivos que integram sua construção. Nesta pesquisa, duas charges serão analisadas. A primeira, intitulada ????Educação em tempos de pandemia ataques e resistência???? é interessante porque seus sentidos se constroem por meio dos diálogos, da fala da docente que mesmo carregada de silêncio, ironia e implícitos, produz um sentido de humor, e a segunda, intitulada ????Ensino a distância????, tem seu efeito de sentido construído principalmente nos pressupostos da relação do verbal com o imagético e também por possuir uma forte carga ideológica.

Abstract: The aim of the present work is to reflect the construction of the senses in specific cartoons, which are mainly due to the silence that constitutes them. The sciences of language have developed the theoretical refinement of peering into silence in its meanings. It was possible to create mechanisms in order to understand the entire context of the charge genre. Silence has always been translated as the unspeakable, associated with immobility. But silencing goes beyond what it can mean, it can translate the dimension of a historical context and also translate silence as the place where the senses take place outside the word, but which are found in the imagination of the human being, being a saying that produces pauses, lapses and reticence. The objective here is to discuss the silence, the said and the unspoken (implicit) in the discourse, taking the textual genre charge as the object of analysis. This option is due to the fact that it is a discursive textual genre that has many expressive resources that integrate its construction. In this research, two cartoons will be analyzed. The first, entitled ????Education in times of pandemic attacks and resistance???? is interesting because its senses are built through dialogues, the teachers speech that, even full of silence, irony and implicit, produces a sense of humor, and the second, entitled ????Distance learning????, has its effect of meaning built mainly on the assumptions of the relationship between verbal and imagery and also because it has a strong ideological charge.
