Resumo: Na disciplina PRG 107, do 10?? período da Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA), os alunos devem realizar o estágio obrigatório. Esta fase contempla o momento em que o estudante vivencia na prática a área que possui interesse. Neste presente trabalho a aluna optou em realizar o estágio no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), na área de Clínica Médica de Pequenos Animais. A escolha do local foi baseada na estrutura equipada do hospital, além da intensa casuística e diferentes tipos de especialidades da instituição, fornecendo maior conhecimento e atividades práticas. Ao todo, foi possível acompanhar 162 animais, tendo uma prevalência da espécie canina, em comparação aos felinos, o que será abordado ao decorrer do trabalho. O HV-UFMG possui uma gama de especialidades, e com isso, a estagiária pode se aprofundar nas afecções dos diferentes sistemas, sendo que o sistema endócrino e a especialidade de oncologia detiveram uma maior quantidade de casuística. Com isso, o objetivo deste trabalho é descrever o local e as atividades realizadas pela estagiária, além de abordar a casuística acompanhada das diferentes afecções, espécies, tipos de consulta, gênero e raças atendidas. As atividades foram orientadas pela Profª Ruthnéa Aparecida Muzzi, e supervisionadas, na instituição UFMG, pela Profª Fernanda Vivian Amorim.

Abstract: In the subject PRG 107, from the 10th period at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), students must complete the mandatory internship. This phase includes the moment in which the student practices the area of interest. In this present work, the student chose to undertake an internship at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), in Small Animal Medical Clinic area. The choice of location was based on the hospitals equipped structure, in addition to the institutions intense casuistry and different types of specialties, providing greater knowledge and practical activities. In total, it was possible to monitor 162 animals, with a prevalence of the canine species, compared to felines, which will be addressed throughout the work. HV-UFMG has a range of specialties, and with this, the intern could delve deeper into the conditions of different systems, with the endocrine system and the oncology specialty detecting a greater number of cases. Therefore, the objective of this work is to describe the location and activities carried out by the intern, in addition to addressing the sample followed of the different conditions, species, types of consultation, gender and breeds attended. The activities were guided by Prof. Ruthnéa Aparecida Muzzi, and supervised, at the UFMG institution, by Prof. Fernanda Vivian Amorim.
