Resumo: A pesquisa tem o objetivo de analisar como ocorre a relação entre a família e a gestão escolar, tendo como base a forma como a comunidade mantém o envolvimento com a instituição e como esta promove a participação das famílias nas funções que lhes são definidas. Isso porque, na maioria das vezes a relação acontece na escola em geral e não prioritariamente com a gestão escolar, que é a responsável pelas tomadas de decisões. A escolha deste tema justifica-se pela necessidade de se repensar a importância da relação entre a gestão escolar e a família, sendo esta a base para um bom funcionamento das escolas, visto que, muitas vezes esta relação acontece de forma bem superficial e não atrai a atenção da comunidade. Assim, para a construção deste trabalho, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa qualitativa que teve início com uma pesquisa bibliográfica baseada em periódicos disponíveis no Portal Educ Publicações Online de Educação da Fundação Carlos Chagas (FCC), destacando-se como os autores descrevem a relação entre a família e a gestão escolar, as maneiras como ocorrem essas relações e as dificuldades encontradas. Além disto, para obter mais informações sobre o tema, foram produzidas entrevistas, baseadas em questões problematizadas, com o intuito de identificar os canais que a escola possibilita para a participação da família em suas atividades cotidianas a partir da trajetória de duas gestoras de uma rede municipal de ensino. Os resultados da pesquisa bibliográfica mostram que ainda há muito a ser debatido, além do que as discussões sobre o tema pesquisado relacionam-se com a relação entre família e escola, mas sem pontuar o papel da gestão neste processo. Sendo assim, esta relação deve ser mais bem observada, para que assim possa definir melhor a forma como a educação seja definida nas escolas, e que faça parte de uma decisão de todos e não apenas de alguns envolvidos. As respostas das gestoras participantes da pesquisa apontam que o trabalho da gestão escolar em conjunto com a comunidade, determina um bom desenvolvimento das atividades, na medida em que cada um realiza de maneira positiva as suas funções, além do que, a união de todos, possibilita alcançar com sucesso o principal objetivo da escola, que é a aprendizagem e formação de cada aluno.

Abstract: The research aims to analyze how the relationship between the family and school management occurs, based on how the community maintains involvement with the institution and how it promotes the participation of families in the functions that are defined for them. This is because, most of the time, the relationship takes place at school in general and not primarily with school management, which is responsible for making decisions. The choice of this theme is justified by the need to rethink the importance of the relationship between school management and the family, which is the basis for a good functioning of schools, as this relationship often happens very superficially and does not attract community attention. Thus, for the construction of this work, a qualitative research was developed that started with a bibliographic research based on journals available at the Educ Portal Online Publications of Education of the Carlos Chagas Foundation (FCC), highlighting how the authors describe the relationship between the family and school management, the ways in which these relationships occur and the difficulties encountered. In addition, to obtain more information on the topic, interviews were produced, based on problematized questions, in order to identify the channels that the school allows for family participation in their daily activities based on the trajectory of two network managers municipal education system. The results of the bibliographic research show that there is still much to be debated, in addition to the discussions on the researched topic being related to the relationship between family and school, but without highlighting the role of management in this process. Therefore, this relationship must be better observed, so that it can better define the way education is defined in schools, and that it is part of a decision by everyone and not just some involved. The responses of the managers participating in the research point out that the work of school management in conjunction with the community, determines a good development of activities, as each one performs their functions in a positive way, besides, the union of all, makes it possible to successfully achieve the main objective of the school, which is the learning and training of each student
